order backlog

Order backlog is the value of contracts a company has signed but not yet recognized as revenue. For cloud providers it is often reported as remaining performance obligations (RPO). A rising backlog signals durable demand, for Google Cloud, more committed workloads mean more servers and thus more memory and HBM, which is why memory investors watch it closely.
