Founded in 2016 in Hefei with heavy backing from local Chinese government investment funds, ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) is China's leading DRAM maker and a centerpiece of the country's push for memory-chip self-sufficiency. It has ramped output fast enough that Western analysts now cite it as a key reason global DRAM and NAND supply could outpace demand, pressuring prices for Samsung, SK hynix and Micron.
