Trading began in March 2025, ending the Korea Exchange's decades-long monopoly on share trading. The main difference is hours. It runs a pre-open session from 8:00 to 8:50 and an after-hours session from 15:30 to 20:00, giving five and a half more hours of trading a day than the Korea Exchange. Offshore markets that track Korean share prices in real time sometimes read prices from those extended windows.
