Testa's monthly disclosure of his long-term set-and-forget account returned to a record. The stated value moved from ¥2,143,066,992 on July 9 to ¥2,196,126,475 on August 9. The account screenshots are public, but this is not an audited fund report, so “record” should be read as a claim within his disclosed series. The arithmetic does check: the eight rows sum exactly to his total.

Two rows made the record

The account gained ¥53,059,483, or 2.5%, over the month. Nintendo Land-his combined label for Nintendo and Oriental Land-rose ¥24,851,000, while the Imura fund increased ¥21,960,000. Together they supplied 88.2% of the gain. Add the ¥5,962,500 increase in the gold ETF and three rows produced 99.5% of the month's increase.

Nintendo Land¥24.851 million
Imura fund¥21.960 million
Gold ETF¥5.963 million
Other five rows combined¥0.286 million

The bars show changes in account value from July 9 to August 9. Gains in the three rows offset declines elsewhere, including US stocks.

US stocks are the largest current bucket at 30.4% of the account. The Imura fund is 16.1%, the gold ETF 14.7%, and All Country 13.0%. The post says the first three rows began with ¥100 million each and the bottom five with ¥200 million each, for ¥1.3 billion of principal. The gap to today's value is ¥896.13 million, a simple cumulative gain of 68.9%. The post does not disclose contributions, taxes, or fees, so that figure should not be annualized.

Eight labels can hide overlap

The rows are Bitcoin, TOPIX, the S&P 500, Nintendo Land, All Country, US stocks, a gold ETF, and the Imura fund. The names look like eight directions, but economic exposure overlaps. The S&P 500 holds 500 leading US companies. MSCI's global All Country index also had Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet as its five largest names at the end of July 2026. Add the separate US-stock bucket and the same US mega-cap factor can appear in several rows.

TOPIX is a free-float market-cap weighted benchmark covering a broad portion of the Japanese equity market. That broadens Japanese exposure, but it does not remove the company-specific risk inside Nintendo Land.

The question after the record

This record did not come from every row rising together. Two buckets generated 88% of the increase, and Testa says Oriental Land drove the Nintendo Land bucket. Even if the next disclosure reaches another high, US mega-cap overlap and Japanese single-stock contribution need to be separated. Whether several labels reduce risk or merely rename the same factors will decide how durable the result is.

In three lines
  • Testa's disclosed long-term account rose 2.5%, from ¥2.143 billion on July 9 to ¥2.196 billion on August 9.
  • Nintendo Land and the Imura fund supplied ¥46.81 million of the ¥53.06 million increase, or 88.2%.
  • Eight rows are not eight independent bets: US stocks, the S&P 500, and All Country can overlap in the same US mega-caps.
